2011 Winner: Family Scholar House
About Family Scholar House:
Family Scholar House’s mission is to end the cycle of poverty by giving single-parent students the support they need to earn a college degree. By transitioning student parents from poverty to self-sufficiency they are able to provide a better life for themselves and their children. Our families are empowered through education.
What we did:
- Consulted Family Scholar House on what content to include in their new site, as well as how that content could be best organized to meet their current and future goals
- Designed the site to be more consistent with Family Scholar House's new print and branding materials
- Provided an online contact form so more people can get in touch with them via their website
- Created a large custom "Donate Online" button, linked with their already existing PayPal account
- Installed a fully archived news blog feed
- Provided an easy-to-learn content management system so Family Scholar House can update the site in the future without our help
